CSC 381 - Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking

This course provides students with the basic principles, techniques, and tools used in Penetration Testing, also known as Ethical Hacking. Students will be introduced the differences between a malicious hacker and an ethical hacker, especially the importance of being within legal confines. They will be trained theoretically and practically in understanding vulnerabilities in computing systems and networks. They will learn how exploits are designed by a hacker to penetrate into vulnerable systems and networks. Students will develop a broad understanding of current cybersecurity problems by completing projects on the topic of Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking.
