This course introduces fundamental geospatial concepts as well as cartographic and data visualization principles and techniques that provide students the ability to describe, generate, and evaluate maps and other visualization products depicting both the physical and human landscapes that are essential to a wide range of applications from physical and human geography to environmental science, biology, history, sociology, public health, business, and intelligence studies.
