CSC 206 - Secure Systems Programming

This course covers how computer programs work at the level close to the machine. At this level it is critical to know how things work and how to fix them when they break. By taking this course students will be able to better use capabilities provided by the operating system and systems software, that operate across a wide range of operating conditions and runtime parameters. Students will be able to use facilities of systems software that programs run more efficiently and avoid flaws that make programs vulnerable to cyberattacks. Students will delve into advanced topics like computer architecture, operating systems, embedded systems, networking and cybersecurity.
