CSC 481 - Capstone Project I Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0
This course is the first of two Capstone Project courses. This course is based on using skills and knowledge learned from cybersecurity degree program courses to build medium-sized projects. Student is expected to utilize core cybersecurity technical and professional skills to complete medium-sized cybersecurity group projects. Technical skills include the understanding of the societal factors that impact cybersecurity domain and understanding how cybersecurity issues impact humans. The professional skills include problem-solving, communication, influencing, collaboration, and group management. Students will propose and select topics and apply multi-faceted analysis models and problem-solving techniques to identify, assess, and manage risk and deliver impact. Project topics must address cybersecurity issues and concepts. Prerequisite: CSC 381 and CSC 431 Corequisite: CSC 433 and CSC 471
