STAT 300 - Introduction to Data Science

This course introduces students to the field of data science. It is designed to present the main steps of the data science process, with focus on data manipulation, exploration, visualization, and communication of results of data analysis. The programming language and software environment for statistical computing and graphics R and the integrated development environment R Studio are used throughout the course. Previous programming experience is not required.
Prerequisite: STAT 202   (may be taken concurrently)
