NURS 451 - Adult Health II

This course is an expansion of Adult Health I and focuses on theoretical, physiological and pathological concepts used to address complex and multi-system health needs of adults and the elderly who are experiencing selected complex health alterations. Topics include the nursing management of clients experiencing selected complex health alterations related to fluid, gastrointestinal, renal/urinary, endocrine, reproductive, sensory-neural, hematological, and neurological disorders. Additionally, the course will include the care of the critically ill as well as concepts of emergency care and disaster planning.
Prerequisite: NURS 324  and NURS 350  and NURS 350L .
Corequisite: NURS 451L
