MGMT 404 - Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) Standards for Business and Industry

This course is designed to teach general industry safety and health outreach training program to students. Using the OSHA General Industry Standards as a guide, special emphasis is placed on occupational safety requirements, penalties and corrective actions. Students will be briefed on effective instructional approaches and use of visual aids and handouts. This course will give the necessary foundations to students to become a trainer in the OSHA Outreach Training Program. Throughout the course, students will learn how to prepare a presentation on an assigned OSHA General Industry Outreach Training Program topic individually or as part of a group and prepare for the written exam. Students who are interested to participate as authorized trainers in the OSHA Outreach Training Program will have clear directions and career pathways at the end of the course. During this course students will complete FEMA certificate IS 200b- Incident Command System for Single Resources and Initial Action Plan.
