This course introduces network security and related topics. The course covers the different layers of the TCP/IP network stack and discusses the security of each of those fundamental layers. The course also covers social and other non-technical aspects of cybercrime, network defense, and the privacy implications of ubiquitous computer networks. Hands-on labs and exercises are used to provide practical implementation experience.
Prerequisite: CSC 270 and CSC 280
