HEED 320 - Introduction to Health Education

This course prepares teachers with skills and knowledge necessary to work in the area of school health education at the elementary, middle, and secondary level. The course is aligned with the National Standards for Initial Health Education Teacher Education (HETE) and focuses on classroom management, health pedagogy and assessment methodology across content areas, as well as various teaching resources.

Field Experience Hours: 12 hours is required.
