MATH 128 - Quantitative Reasoning for Business Credit Hours: 3 or 4 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0 or 2
Math 128 is a course that includes both traditional algebra and quantitative reasoning with emphasis on concepts and applications of mathematical and statistical methods to business and economics. This activity based quantitative reasoning course introduces students to basic mathematics, probability and risk, summarizing and analyzing data, regression and correlation, and financial mathematics. Spreadsheet and course specific software will be used to deepen understanding of these concepts and increase student engagement with the course material. Prerequisite: MATH 121 or High School Algebra I and II or equivalent, and satisfactory profile examination score.
