CHEM 314 - Physical Chemistry II Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 3 Lab Hours: 0
The second course in a two-semester sequence of calculus-based physical chemistry, that provides an introduction to quantum mechanics and its applications to atomic and molecular structure and spectroscopy and investigates statistical mechanics as a bridge between microscopic and macroscopic worlds. Students will also be exposed to molecular reaction dynamics, including collision theory and activated-complex theory. Prerequisite: CHEM 313
