MATS 423 - Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3
This course (cross-listed as CHEM 423 ) is a comprehensive introduction to the rapidly developing field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Topics cover the properties, synthesis, and characterization of nanomaterials and their applications to nanobiotechnology/ nanomedicine and nanoelectronics, as well as laboratory activities involving the synthesis and characterization of novel nanostructures. Prerequisite: CHEM 211 and CHEM 211L and PHYS 126 and PHYS 126L or (MATS 260 and PHYS 126 and PHYS 126L ) or instructor approval
