An algebra-based introductory study of Newtonian mechanics, thermodynamics, and related concepts, with special emphasis on problem solving. Topics include a description of both linear and rotational motion, Newton’s laws of motion, conservation principles, heat, and thermodynamics.
Prerequisite: MATH 129  and MATH 130  or MATH 131
