CHEM 424 - Separation Science Credit Hours: 3 Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 3
The course introduces the modern physical and chemical techniques used for analytical separations. The primary theme of chromatography, includes gas chromatography, high performance liquid chromatography, and supercritical fluid chromatography. Other important analytical separation techniques to be discussed include capillary electrophoresis, field-flow fractionation, size exclusion chromatography, and chromatographic measurements of physicochemical, biochemical, and geochemical processes. Prerequisite: CHEM 211 and CHEM 211L
