Program Requirements
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Overall minimum GPA of 2.7 (3.0 preferred) on 4.0 scale for all undergraduate work or minimum 2.75 (3.0 preferred) on 4.0 scale in last 60 hours of study which may include no more than 12 hours graduate study.
Submission of one professional letter of recommendation is required for admission.

Professional Education Courses: 33 Credits
EDUC 455 and EDUC 464 may not be taken until student is admitted to Teacher Education. EDUC 480 or EDUC 497 and EDUC 490 may not be taken until student is admitted to Clinical Experience (Student Teaching) and are taken during the last and final semester.
Health and Physical Education Major Core: 29 Credits
Core Academic Skills for Educators Test Requirement
Required for students with less than 2.7 Undergraduate GPA
Core Academic Skills for Educators: Reading (5712)—Score 156
Core Academic Skills for Educators: Writing (5722)—Score 162
Core Academic Skills for Educators: Mathematics (5732)—Score 150 or a Composite Score of 468
PRAXIS II and edTPA Requirement
PRAXIS II Test: 5857 Health and Physical Education: Content Knowledge—Score 160 and passing edTPA score of 38 or higher.
